Work Smarter, Not Harder: 7 Strategies to an extra $1700+ without burnout
One of the top goals I hear, and rightfully so is, how do I make more money?
This is a totally fair question, because we can always increase our income — plus its fun and exciting — but we can’t decrease spending endlessly. I mean, we still got to eat, right?
When it comes to income, women and people of color have a lot of potential upside. We’re just as smart, talented, hardworking and oftentimes, even more educated. So, let’s bring all that excellence to closing the income gap, and leveling up our earnings to get to parity with our white male counterparts.
I hate to say this, ladies, but the hard truth is, sometimes we’re the worse culprits when it comes to undervaluing our own time and talents… A couple years ago, I was looking to hire a personal trainer. I went on a website where people list their services and certifications. And you know what I found? For the same experience and training, the women were charging on average 30-50% of what the men were. Even when they set their own prices, women were willing to accept half of what men were.
C’mon, we can do better.
With all that in mind, how might you go about increasing your income…?
Maybe negotiating for a raise or picking up a second or third part-time job are the only options that come to mind and both of those cause you to recoil. Don’t worry — I got you.
Sometimes bringing money in can feel like the most difficult thing to do, and yet, other times, it might flow in without a thought or lifting a finger.
If you’ve been on the struggle bus lately, then…
